"God's Mission, Our Passion"

“I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. If you really knew me, you would know my Father as well. From now on, you do know him and have seen him.” Philip said, “Lord, show us the Father and that will be enough for us.”

(John 14:6-8, NIV)

Nobody said faith was easy. In fact, the Apostle Philip struggled in his faith.  He wanted Jesus to provide a better illustration of God—to help him have a better understanding of the heavenly Father.  Jesus did not hesitate to explain to Philip the transparent nature of His ministry.  Jesus wanted this inquiring disciple and others to learn a major lesson about his relationship with God, the Father.  What is that lesson? It is this: Look at the Son and see the Father.

The gospel of Jesus causes us to consider a love so great that it is impossible to ignore.   The death, burial and resurrection of Jesus stand as the greatest event in human history.  The Apostles, and others who were the closest to Jesus, lived their lives and even sacrificed their lives based upon the facts they knew about Jesus. Today we strive to live our lives the same way.

For more than 2,000 years, multitudes of generations have witnessed the New Testament church.  There are many converts and many critics. We, the University Christian Ministry (UCM), are a group of college students and working young adults who proclaim the love of God through lives of devotion to Jesus. We are not perfect people, but we are real.  We simply desire to go beyond the superficial in order to discover real faith and joy in our Savior.

Do you see Him?

Anyone who would like to help create and better the UCM webpage for others to see would be greatly appreciated. We need people to write short articles about the different ministries of UCM. Also any suggestions or photos of UCM events that you have will be considered. For more information about this contact Lee, Nik or Byron. Thanks
