Duane Dixon
Campus Minister

Duane and Jenny married in 1997 and they have 3 children, Noah (9), Micah (4), and Sophia (2). He was born and raised in southwestern Virginia. After some time at Freed Hardeman University and The University of Memphis, Duane completed his degree in Civil Engineering at Tennessee Tech University in Cookeville, TN. After a few years of working in his field, he entered into full-time campus ministry at TTU and was there from 1999 to 2006. After two years in other ventures of ministry and small business, Duane came to the University Church in the summer of 2008 to work again in campus ministry. He enjoys his family, tennis, snow skiing, ping pong, basketball, facebook, desserts, good movies, backyard football/wrestling/fort building/sword fighting with his boys, and exchanging dreamy eyes with his girls. Currently, the Dixons are in the process of adopting a baby girl from Ethiopia!
Andrea Zahler
Student Ministries Associate

Andrea Zahler grew up in the suburbs of Atlanta, Georgia. After graduating from Harding University with degrees in English and Bible in 2004, she spent two years teaching English at Jiang Han University in Wuhan, China. In 2009, she graduated with a master's degree in Ministry from Lipscomb University. In addition to working with UCC's student ministries, Andrea is an Area Coordinator and Child Ambassador for World Vision, a humanitatian organization dedicated to working with children, families, and their communities worldwide to reach their full potential by tackling the causes of poverty and injustice. Because of our faith in Christ, we serve alongside the poor and oppressed as a demonstration of God's unconditional love for all people.
