Women of UCM
All Christians are people who have emptied themselves and are filled with the fire of God. We - the body of Christ - are like that fire. We burn together, and we encourage each other, enabling each other to burn hotter, brighter, longer.
The women we studied last semester are the individual sparks that fly out from the base fire. We saw their outline, mapped out their trajectory. But they are no more important than the rest of the fire. In fact, their purpose is to draw our attention back to the fire that made them pop and explode to begin with. They could not exist without first being part of the community of flames.
This semester, the Women of UCM will stop talking about extraordinary women and start being extraordinary women. We hope to spark all over our community and all over the world. Our only goal is to draw attention back to the original fire.
The first Tuesday each month we will join together to spur each other on to brighter living.
In the words of Mother Teresa, this semester we will do "small things with great love." Feel free to join in whenever you can. We know you probably can't do everything, but we believe that God is calling you to something. Please check out the calendar for dates and times. You can find out more details about getting involved by emailing us or going to our Facebook page, Women of UCM.
